Research Interests

A student of early Italian vernacular literature, Wuming Chang currently works on Dante’s relationship to such vernacular and Latin traditions as volgarizzamento, the poetic and rhetorical arts, and the political discourse of his time.  He is also translating some of Ovid’s didactic poetry (Medicamina, Remedia).
