Profile
Ma Jian is currently a tenured associate professor, researcher and doctoral supervisor in the Department of German Language and Literature at the School of Foreign Languages, Peking University. He holds a Doctor of Literature degree. The main research directions are contemporary German literature, cultural exchanges between Chinese and German literature and German poetry. Two academic monographs and over 50 academic papers have been published both at home and abroad, as well as multiple translated works. One general project of the National Social Science Foundation of China has been independently undertaken.
