Kim Seungrong is a Professor in the Department of Korean Literature in Classical Chinese at Pusan National University and currently also works as an international expert at the School of Foreign Languages, Peking University (PKU). In 2002, he obtained his doctorate from the Department of Korean Language and Literature at Korea University. He is interested in the relationship between classics, the times, and humans. He is in charge of planning and publishing local classical books. It is seeking to establish a balanced Korean intellectual history by discovering and translating local classical literature.
His research interests cover: annotations on classics, aesthetic exploration of poems written in Chinese characters, traditional knowledge studies, study of local classics, and academic study of healing through classics.
