Profile

MA Yuchen is a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Foreign Languages, Peking University. His research interests include mass media, knowledge production, new religious movement, and other contemporary issues of the Philippines. He is the principal investigator of Youth Project of the National Social Science Foundation "Institutional Cultural Factors in Philippine Politics". He has published over a dozen papers concerning the Philippines in renowned journals such as Philippine Studies: Historical and Ethnographical Viewpoints, Southeast Asian Studies (《东南亚研究》), Country and Regional Studies (《国别和区域研究》), Crossroads: Southeast Asian Studies (《东南亚纵横》)
